Our new Eve product landing on Monday hits me right in the feels for other reasons, though.
Women’s health, research and representation matters. Sports and active lifestyle nutrition is an area that has been notoriously male-dominated and is filled with products and formulations that are designed for men (not women), and can often even be detrimental to female health, our hormones and nervous systems.
Until recently there has been very little understanding of women’s performance potential. Due to poor quality studies (“How do u even study women tho, seems hard they have periods and stuff” = the general vibe from researchers over the years), the only reliable studies in this space are from 2004 or later. In scientific research terms this short 20-year span of research is nothing.
Us menstruators are hormonally different to men, and our needs throughout our cycles and various stages of life are different. Additionally, some ingredients in sports supplements have great research for men, but have not been proven to have any impact for women. I.e they’re a waste of your hard earned money.
We’ve come a long way within the women’s health space, but there’s still a way to go. And we’re leading the charge.
I’m SO BLOODY PROUD of this next Eve product as it truly is a first of its kind for women, putting quality science at the heart of our formulation and development process. This is the promise we make with all our supplements, so you can feel safe to trust us in this hectic wellness space.
